PoliteChild® Refund/Cancellation Policy

Class Registration and Confirmation
Class registration and student placement is on a first come, first served basis. While we are happy to maintain your child’s information on file, actual class assignment and space will be reserved ONLY when we have received a completed registration form and all class fees. Should something arise that prevents your child from attending a class for which he/she is registered, we will attempt to accommodate your schedule change in the best practical manner, subject to our refund and cancellation policy described below.

Your registration is confirmed only when you have received a written confirmation via email, if you have provided us with an email address, or US Post. Should any changes to the scheduled class start date, location, and/or time occur, we will notify you by telephone at the number you have provided on the registration form.

Class Cancellations
The PoliteChild reserves the right to cancel classes due to insufficient enrollment or a complication beyond our control. In the case of a specific class cancellation, we will attempt to accommodate you in a a comparable class meeting at a different date and/or time, or a full refund will be processed upon request. The PoliteChild also reserves the right to change the dates and times published. In this case, we will attempt to contact you to reschedule you to the new class, or refund your registration fee, if a suitable date/time/location cannot be found.

If a class for which you have registered and have received confirmation is cancelled for any reason, you will be notified prior to the first class at the phone number you have listed with us during registration

Missed Classes
If your child misses one or more classes, you have the following options:

  1. Makeup classes can be scheduled for the nearest meeting of the same class that was missed. This may mean having your child attend a different session for that class, but every attempt will be made to accommodate the parent’s/child’s schedule. Makeup classes can be scheduled by calling 425.485.8089.
  2. If you know ahead that your child will miss a scheduled class, you can request the class materials to be given to your child at the class just prior to the class(es) that will be missed. In order for us to have materials available in class, we require at least 24 hours notice. Please request the advance materials by contacting us at 425.485.8089 or by emailing us at class_coordinator@politechild.com.
  3. Unless other arrangements have been made prior to the end of your child’s class course, missed classes cannot be made up once the child has graduated from the specific PoliteChild course.
  4. The PoliteChild does NOT issue refunds for missed classes. Every attempt will be made to reschedule your child to makeup the missed class as described above.

Refund Policy
In addition to the class cancellation policy stated above, The PoliteChild offers refunds subject to the following terms and based on the following conditions:

  1. If you need to withdraw from class completely, a full refund will be issued if we receive notice at least 3 business days before the beginning of class.
  2. If you need to withdraw your child from class within 1 business day of the start of a multi-week class, we will process a refund minus a 15% handling fee. This is because of the level of instructor preparation and material costs involved in organizing for the start of class.
  3. If you withdraw after the first class of a multi-week course has met, but your child has not participated, a 50% refund will be issued, if you notify us of the withdrawal prior to the meeting of the second class.
  4. If you must withdraw after your child has participated in one or more classes of a multi-week class, or the class has met 3 or more times and your child has not attended, no refund is applicable.
  5. Classes that may meet more frequently than weekly are not subject to the same terms and restrictions as the above specified classes. Because of the level of preparation involved for these types of classes, refunds for multi-session courses that are combined or meet more often than weekly can only be processed if the withdrawal of the student occurs at least 3 business days before the beginning of the first class. If for some reason, the student must miss one or more of these consolidated or custom classes, we will make every attempt to accommodate the student in the next similar class available.

If sent by US Mail, please be aware that there may be a delay in receiving/processing your request, which may result in having your request fall into a different refund category than expected.

! Important Note: If your child’s withdrawal results in our class falling below its minimum class enrollment, and we cannot fill the space with children on our waiting list prior to the beginning of the course, a 50% handling fee to count for the empty slot will be assessed prior to issuing any refund in addition to any other handling fees that may apply as described above.

Although we will make every attempt to complete your refund sooner, please allow us a minimum of ten (10) working days to completely process your refund. All refunds are processed via separate check issued from The PoliteChild or one of its registered agents.
