Ms. Gregory is the President and Founder of The PoliteChild®, based in Bellevue, Washington with a second regional center in the greater New York/New Jersey metro area. The PoliteChild program was born from Corinne’s belief that our children – indeed our society – would benefit strongly from knowing and using the rules of and reasons for proper behavior. Corinne, like many others certainly, felt that something had to change in order to stem the erosion of decency and civility in our world. But, instead of simply commiserating with others about the decline in values and behavior, Corinne felt compelled to do something about it. She developed The PoliteChild in the hopes of making a difference in the lives of the children and families who participate in the program by giving them the tools to help them truly succeed in life – the gift of good social skills. She is on a personal and professional crusade to help re-civilize our young people, our schools and our communities and help reform our ailing educational system.
Before starting The PoliteChild, Corinne was deeply involved in the areas of technology and business, where she founded The HartGregory Group which served the technology and business world through writing, editing, professional speaking, and consulting. From 1997 to 1999, Corinne was Vice President of Product Marketing at a publicly-held software product and professional services company, where she was responsible for strategic planning, marketing and sales of the company’s products, and was the company’s primary spokesperson overall during her tenure.
Corinne is an author, frequent speaker, advisor, and spokesperson on business and family-development topics, and her media appearances include The Today Show, CNN, Time Magazine, USA Today, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, Parents Magazine, and more. Besides her previously published technology and business-focused books, she is working on several books related to SocialSmarts program, parenting, and education reform.
An active member of Rotary International she believes strongly in serving and giving back to the communities in which she lives and works. She has been a member of the Northshore YMCA Board of Managers; the Board of Directors for the Coachella Valley Symphony, and Buddy Rogers Youth Orchestra are among the other groups with which she has been involved.
But, regardless of her business accomplishments, her family is her favorite audience, and her most cherished title is “Mommy.” |
